Farmers State Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction
Account Guarantee Program. Under the program, through
June 30, 2010, all non-interest-bearing transaction accounts
are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the
account.
Under the rules of the Transaction Account Guarantee
Program, the definition of non-interest-bearing accounts
includes:
Any transaction (checking) account on
which Farmers State Bank does not accrue or pay interest.
Both personal and non-personal accounts that fit this category.
Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTAs).
Official Checks and Cashier's Checks issued by Farmers State
Bank.
All other accounts are not included in the Transaction Account Guarantee
Program but are included in the general deposit insurance
program.
